Geri Young | President
Geri Young is a two-time graduate of the University of Illinois. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2009, and later a master’s degree in social work in 2012. During her academic career, Geri was heavily involved in the promotion of the Student Veteran agenda on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus, as well as in the local community.
Today, she is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and has the privilege to continue working in the veteran community as a Patient Safety Manager for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Additionally, she still serves as a Technical Sergeant in the Illinois Air National Guard, and was recently named her unit’s Outstanding Airman of the Year in the category of Noncommissioned Officer for 2015.
